Thinking of the many flights I have ahead of me in the near future made me think about my #1 must have product when I travel by plane. Everyone knows that the gross, recirculating plane air is extremely drying. Also, most people tend to not drink enough water when flying... something, I'm sure, about not wanting to use that gross, germ infested, claustrophobia inducing tiny little airplane bathroom. So, many people tend to get dehydrated. Combine not drinking enough water with the dry air and that dehydration starts to show on your skin.
Aside from drinking plenty of water, my favorite product to prevent this plane-induced dry skin is this all natural product by Evian:
Available here, 2 for $12.
Last time I was traveling from CA to NY, I was all out of my Evian and was looking for a similar product, with the closest Sephora 2 hours away. Luckily I found this similar product at my local CVS, La Roche Posay's Thermal Spring Water:
Available here for $7.50.
Both of these products are 100% natural, the ingredients only list water, and they are unscented. Also, they are small enough to carry on in your TSA authorized quart sized, see through plastic bag.
Not only are they great for travel, but they are perfect to be used throughout the day as a refresher, as well as a way to set your makeup.
I've tried Philosophy's version, Hope Springs Eternal, and I personally didn't like it. I am very sensitive to scents and every time I used this, the floral scent gave me a wicked headache, so I returned it!
I know with Spring Break already here and Summer fast approaching, many people are going to be traveling by plane. I hope this helps you! I know this is the only way to keep my skin glowing and moisturized when I travel.
Are you guys going anywhere this summer? Any trips planned? If so, tell me about it! I'd love to hear about it.
Steph

I never thought to use that on a plane but I can def see the benefits. We are planning a cruise for June. I cannot wait! I am in need of a vacay bad!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip! And what are you doing in Bejing? That sounds like an amazing place to be! And I bet you stick out like a sore thumb! Trujillo isn't very touristy so I've gotten use to people staring and staring hard. Not to mention the whistles... that, I do admit, drives me nuts and I will never get use to. Anyways, thanks for checking out my blog! I will have to check out that fabulous lotion.

BEAUTY. FASHION. DESIGN.
...and everything girly under the sun!
I actually used to use the Evian spray in the summers in place of a moisturizer! I love that stuff.
ReplyDeleteI've got some travels planned, yes I do! The Acapulco trip is already booked, and we are working on the second one right now.
Did you ever wind up purchasing the sunglasses?

ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to reading more about your adventures in Bejing. I've got one big trip planned for this summer— Norway! I'll be there for a wedding and their national holiday, so it should be fun.
Little Bee is an incredible book! Hope you're enjoying it.

love face mists! I use an antioxidant mist from Dermalogica and cannot get enough of it since I'm always dry. Glo minerals also has a nice hydration mist.
ReplyDeleteSupatret Gel is a type of vitamin A. At the point when applied on the skin, it decreases oil creation in the skin, recharges acne-inclined skin, and helps keep your pores open.
